Anyone use 2025 LAUNCH Creader Elite V2.0 fit for Toyota Lexus instead of techstream cable?

Looking to calibrate AHC and have ability to add new keys to my 2003 Lx. I don’t have a laptop and not super interested in creating a desktop setup on the car.

Found some threads about this handheld unit, but didn’t get many answers to some of the questions, such as ability to bleed abs or read trans temps, program new keys. Also any new update on how well it’s working out? Reading through the techstream posts, it sounds like IT hell.

Here’s the unit on Amazon.

I’ve used it to set some parameters like auto door lock but haven’t tried the ABS bleed. I am curious on if this can do the zero point calibration to center the steering wheel in a VGRS vehicle.

Oh and I reach for OBD fusion and the cheap wireless OBD reader to check AHC pressures and height sensors. The wireless part is nice for this job.

I have the Elite 2.0-T. I've been disappointed with it but I've only tried using it twice so far. I have a 99 LX and the only thing I was able to do was move the steering wheel column. It simply says the AHC pressures are not available. The other thing is, it wants to link to your home WI-FI to communicate with the companies servers for database info or whatever. You enter your VIN number and I think the idea is that it will then load available parameters and whatnot. Do I really want my home WI-FI connected to a Chinese server somewhere? No, not really. If no wifi, then it says you have to select your year, model, etc. manually. I was at a friends house when using it the first time and not really putting 1 and 1 together as to why it wanted to be online and enter the VIN. That wifi was exceedingly slow, especially due to the week signal I had out in the driveway. The second time I just entered the vehicle data manually but with no better results. Very disappointing. Perhaps you would get better results on an 03. I have picked up an 04 LC but haven't tried it to see what is available for it yet. I picked the thing up for the primary purpose of reading my AHC pressures. I think I'd try the OBD Fusion before I'd invest in the Creader.

Great info! Thank you for that. Sounds like the obd fusion might be the way to go. Also agree regarding sending my info across the world.

The S in IoT stand for security.

I just recently picked mine up for my 2006 LC. I was able to turn off the steering wheel tilt/extend function. I see that all kinds of things are available like interior light and lock modes. I was able to see AHC front and rear pressures in some menu....I won't be touching mine again for at least a month, but I'm sure it's in there.

Due to being computer illiterate I have not been able to download Techstream to test AHC, nor do Ihave a 10 yr old computer laying around (like it would matter)lol.... That said, what is the unit you ended up purchasing to check your AHC pressures? do happen to have a link?

Are you a Mac/Apple person by chance?

I have the unit linked in the original post.

Can confirm that it reads AHC data. I used it to check pressures and heights.

I haven’t seen a specific example of someone programming an LX470 key fob with it, but saw a video on YouTube of a guy doing it for his GX. I plan on trying it out eventually.

are you glad you went with a tablet? I feel like a laptop will t be a pain in the ass…BYE Just picked up an 07’ Hundy yesterday. Driving back from TX to CT now. New globes and AHC seems in good working order but I want to confirm pressures for sure.

So many things to do 😎😁🤪

My LX is a 99. I've read that you get more parameters available, the newer the model so that needs to be taken into account I think. Also, I read in an old thread that someone had input to the unit that the LX they were working on was a newer model than it really was and that they then got access to more parameters/settings. I haven't tried that yet. Spring is only 5 months away...single digit highs in my neck of the woods this weekend so delayed testing for me.

Good to know. I will have to make sure I install the right version of tech stream. I’m super computer illiterate when it comes to this stuff. I can run a couple things on my computer for work, but as soon as we get into formatting/flashing/installing programs I’m worthless. Lol.

Just drove 1800 miles from TX to CT. Truck drove fantastic! A lot of little repairs I need to work on but I want to check the pressures on AHC first, at least I can say something is 100 percent.

Just found a power steering leak that is now active. Let the games begin…

Dis anyone know if I need to do anything to tablet before I drop Techstream on it? What version is appropriate for a 07’ TLC? Should I be using windows 10 or 11

I've bought the smaller version of this and have had success with a few of those workflows. I have an '06 and the unit auto detects the protocol and connects over OBDII I've never connected it to the internet. I've been able to...

Register new key FOBs
Register new cut keys in the immobilizer
Check AHC pressures
Disable auto-lock function
Check and clear codes

Program new TPMS sensors

Wanted to add to this thread, I got the unit from amazon and used it successfully to bleed the ABS system after replacing the master cylinder assembly in my 100. Just followed the FSM on how to bleed the brakes and ABS system. Super easy to use, the prompts were exactly the same as the handheld Toyota scan tool. I got quoted 200 dollars for the full system bleed at my local toyota dealership, so this practically paid for itself and then some. If you get an extendable cord off amazon (ie. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBYX39TL?tag=ihco-20) you can bleed the brakes yourself which is what I did. Also did the same thing on my wife's '02 4runner who also had total brake failure (same ABS/MC unit). Feel free to DM if there are any specific questions.

I recently picked up the launch 2.0 Toyota/lexus scan tool. Has anyone successfully used this instead of techstream for AHC? I don’t want to go down that rabbit hole if possible…
