Has anyone been to the NJ Pine Barrens? (2 Viewers)

It's sucktacular if you like flat sand with lots of blowing grit.
 
If you come through philly, ben franklin bridge to route 70, straight on through to the pine barrens...

You can also take route 38, which turns into 530, that takes you into pemberton, browns mills, etc.

If you cross at the trenton area, somehow you can meander through allentown (NJ), route 526 to route 539 - it's a much more rural route, lots of pines.....
 
And if you come across the big berms blocking access to the base near the Wharton State Forest, DONT GO OVER THEM!!! :D
 
Pretty flat and boring.

Some deep puddles.

Nice place for a picnic though and parts are very scenic.
 
Look out for the impact area, the F-16's like setting the place on fire or better yet, straffing schools is well within their forte.
