I am freshening up my '75 FJ 40 hard top. I need a new rain gutter; the old one was rusted beyond repair. I have found one from Cool Cruisers of Texas for $360.00, which will need some minor effort to work on my rig, but that is ok. Considering its size, function, and overall fun-factor, this rain gutter is EXPENSIVE. Are there any other options? Any help would be much appreciated.

I did a fiberglass gutter from a company in OR. It was still a ton of work, but I'm pleased with the (permanent) result.

My guess is classifieds tops are likely to have similar issues unless major $. I got a local shop to bend me the straight pieces and fabbed/repaired the corners. Hindsight...other than getting better at fixin' stuff, should have just bit the bullet and bought the whole thing from ccot

I typically recreate my own parts, partly to 'save money' and mostly to learn and gain experience. In reality, I don't save money, I just gain experience, a lot of it

I don't think you have a ton of choices. Used, new or repair. I assume you checked other vendors? I had a shop repair a rcouple of usted sections on my top. They did a great job, but I spent about $100.

One thing I discovered about the FJ40 during my restoration.....they ain't cheap to restore properly.
