I'm not sure if the hardtop would be considered more desirable or valuable, but from what I gather, there's substantially fewer of them in existance.

Cruiser_Nerd, did we ever figure out what the approximate ratio of hardtops vs. soft-tops is??

My first thought was of "Ladytech", but that was N Dakota...Get it, Trojan, misery loves company!

I recently bought a Patrol from a Widow, difficult to come up with a price that respects all involved...in my case I gave her kids "right of first refusal" if I decided to sell...after I got it driveable I gave her a ride in it and she was very happy, and I feel a lot better about the small price I paid

Quick count is about three softtops for every hardtop. I don't think it makes a difference pricewise. Try to get pictures even if she doesn't want to sell. :)

thanks for all the input. it has a bit of surface rust around some bolt but no perforations. it has 2 flat tires and i dont know if it runs.
i would post pics but i don't know how to shrink them enough to fit here.
would $500 be fair? is $1000 too high?
thanks again

Pics would tell...........but $1k sounds fair for a no rot, non-runner. $500 would be taking advantage of her if the body is in good shape.

I agree--- since the transfer case (if it is good) alone is worth $500.00 I would still be not comfortable if I did not offer $2000.00 but have not seen it yet. John#3
