Hey Guys,

I'm in need of a little help. I'm on the home stretch of my FJ55's frame-off resto and I could use some extra hands/knowledge to help me finish.

Started a much overdue thread on the Pig Preservation page - Sturobertson40's FJ55 Resto.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in lending a helping hand at my garage West Ashley in return for some grub and cold beverages!

Planning on Saturday, AUGUST 22nd. Talked with Ron and he said to post up here.

Here's my list of to-do's:

1) Plug in and attach wire harness and accessories.
2) Finish running all brake, clutch, and fuel lines.
3) Hang gas tank and run vent setup.
4) Run radiator hoses and install heater
5) Replace e-brake assembly and out transfer-case seal.
6) Redo side cover gasket on block (messed it up the first time).
7) Install interior (seats, panels, etc).
8) Install custom front and rear bumpers

I could order all of my remaining parts and be ready to go.

LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. Would be a good time to work and talk shop.

Pic's as she sits now for your enjoyment.

Thanks Brock! Lowcountry mark your calendars. I'm going to push this thing through no matter what!

I should be able to make this one.

Awesome! Sounds like the ball is rolling. Although I'll be ashamed to grill with you coming (if this is who I think it is). :)

Yea I can def make it as soon as I get done with work at noon..

I've got an Eagle project that day.
I'll call when I get done to see what's going on.
I could build it myself in about 2 1/2 hours, but with all the help, it WILL take longer.
Should be done about noon.

I would really like to see this one in the Mt. P. Christmas parade.

Ordered the Parts

Ok Boys, I just ordered the bulk of remaining parts we need to get this beast fired up.

Parts will be here in time for next Saturday, August 22nd.

Got a few commited. Would love to have more. And I'm happy to have anyone come and work on their rigs as well. Still planning it out but I'll be getting started around 9 a.m. and will be going all day. Come morning or afternoon any time.

The goal is to get her running. I'll finish the interior and trim after I can spin her around the block.

My house is in Grand Oaks Plantation, W.A.

Thanks everyone,

Stu

P.S. - I'll try to finish the resto thread this week.

Too much reading.

Stu how early do you want to start....i got a function I have to leave around noon for but can give you a good 3-4 hours of muscle and part putting on her until then....

I'll start whenever. Never finished really!:grinpimp: Say 8 or 9 am? Drop by whenever, stay 'til whenever. I'll try to get a game plan together between now and then in terms of what order to do things.

Thanks for the help.

Getting organized...who's coming? I think it will be rainy, but I've got a big garage. Big items for the day are Gas tank and fuel lines, Parking brake kit, Side cover gasket, and Radiator hoses. I need all the help I can get! Let me know if you are pretty sure you're coming. I need a head count for burgers and beer. You can also call me if you have any questions (843) 991-5163.

Thanks Guys.

Stu

I thought I posted earlier today already but it is not here....

I will be there around 8am.....either on motorcycle or FJC as I am dropping off my 60 at Glens after work on Friday.

Not much skill but I can bolt things on and lift heavy items for you. If I dont ride motorcycle do you need any tools?

I need to leave NLT 1100 or 1130 to go to daughters for birthday party of my grand daughter...who is 1 year old this week.
