Hey everyone,
Just thought I'd share my ham mobile install. There's limited real-estate in the 470's for mounting options. So here's what I did for my FTM400 and auxiliary speaker.
All the cables were passed through the firewall where the hood release cable passes through, and ran under the trim along the floor board. The radio unit was mounted for a board and placed under the driver's seat.

Whats the story on those dash mounts?
I used ".67 designs" 55 series rails. They're nearly a universal rail system. The rails.come with 1 ball each, so I bought a few extra. The regular 1" ball they use also worked in screwing into the back the FTM400's remote screen, so it was able to be mounted nicely with the .67 designs Arms.
