im dying to drive/ wheel it. ill upgrade the drivetrain when i break it or buy it :)

this thing is going to run soon i swear! i wont give up on it!

Nice buildup, can't wait to see this thing painted and into the daylight. So, what did you end up deciding on for the dash?

Kevin

Glad to see you're back on it!

Now get it done already :)

im gonna get a peice of aluminum cut and rivet it to the face. then cut my holes w/ a hole saw and use those equis gauges you get from the autoparts store.

double checked my gear pattern. its ok i think to run it.

went to the machine shop today and cut the axle flanges down a little to get the rotors to slip over. pressed in these new fangled studs to make the wheel studs 1/2x20... much more beefy, and threads are long to accomidate aluminum wheels if needed.

problem:

these disc brake brackets are from gravelmaker (ruffstuff specialties)

i like the beef in the brackets, but the calipers wont go on. i wouldnt think that the brackets are not cut right, so i went to the auto parts store with my calipers in hand and thought i had the wrong one. well after looking like an ass and having the parts guy drop down like 10 different calipers i came to the conclusion that the brackets are cut wrong. im going to email Dan and see what he thinks. they are *just* off enough to not allow the caliper bolts to go thru correctly. sorry the pic was hard to take down the bore of the sleeve.

so here i wait again.

I personally would push the motor back as far as possible. It will climb mo better. As a very general rule of thunb, front axle in line with the crank pulley

you really need to mock up the radiator...from the looks of the one pic i dont think your fan is going to clear

man i thought you sold er off ...glad to see you back workin on her... keep the picks comin

My 350 is way closer to the firewall. Maybe a fist width from it if that. I would checkout how much room you have in front with your radiator. I would rather have room and clearance there so I could play with different fan, clutch and rad combos.

Good luck
