Half doors?

Are half doors for the 55 a thing? I googled and its just jeep nonsense.

I made one once, but it ran off before I could finish it.
Basically laid down a line with masking tape, sharpie drew it in, then sawzalled it 1/2" from the line, fimolded it over and ran a row of rivets.
Never did a latch, but I cut it so that it swooped up to meet the latch, I just never got the chance to finish prototyping before it vanished.
It's no longer a high priority for me, as the landcruiser already gets dusty enough with the windows up. I don't really want a 1/2" layer of dust on my stuff when I get to my spot, and I really don't love the idea if breathing that fine powdery silt any more than absolutely necessary.
I'll stick with regular doors for my cruiser, but if anyone is interested I can tape the line where I think it belongs and take a photo of where I think the cut should be.

I was reading some OLD forums - and apparently @Pigeaten had acquired a set back in flippin 2008. Not sure if all are custom jobs or what. If i had extra hinges and junk id just weld up some tube but I was hopin there was an easier way. the joys of rare old cars lol

Would definitely be custom......just like roll cages.

I determined with my prototyping that the half door was still just as in the way as the regular door. There was no advantage to doing it, in the end it was more functional to simply remove the door altogether if that's the style of wheeling you find yourself doing. I was 18 and had all of dad's tools, a spare door, and a 28.8 modem so I could dial into the internet and see what's cool.
In hindsight: not that cool.

Great dogs. My other halfs mom breeds and shows em and her bitch was #2 in the country and grand Champion before 2 years old lol And then theres my derpy one who is afraid of paper towels, and gets bullied by our pomeranian.....

We have the corso, a bedlington terrier, my dogs a half lassa half shih tzu, and her pom.... shes a master certified, competitive dog groomer who does show dogs and crap. So my house is just a ball of dog hair....

Was 90lbs. at 6 months. Took him to puppy training everyone was like i thought this was for puppies

I sent her the link to this and apparently the dog got GC at 8 months old. But this is our menagerie. Tofu is the pom, Eeyore is the bedlington, Bruce is the corso, and Juvie is the shih tzu mix. Bruce is only 8 months old in the picture, hes just shy of 1.5 years now. Hes a fantastic dog - but the shih tzu is the best one we have by far. Never barks, just sleeps. Tofu we call Violence because every day he wakes up and chooses violence..... and eeyore is smooth brain because he is one of the most oblivious dogs ive ever seen LOL
