Looking for compliance advice for Western Australia.

Looking at half doors, or tube frame doors (no skin)

Are they road legal?

Ring this guy, his stuff complies to ADR laws. Been around for 20 years? knows his stuff. I have his full fibre glass FJ40 body from him which he extended to a FJ43 (made to order), certified paperwork. Individual tags on each body component which is required.

I have asked so many different people and government bodies and no one has been able to give me a straight answer. As best I can figure (for QLD and NSW anyway) is that a door is only needed on a FJ40 to stop your leg going outside the vehicle in an accident, you can run no doors on the old jeeps because the sill sits higher and keeps your legs in but on a cruiser it is very low so you need doors.

With that said I passed both QLD and NSW inspection with soft half doors from bestop, I also frequently drive around with no doors and have never been stopped. I'm not sure anybody knows for sure.
