H55 and transfer case

i used valley hybrids...had them source a tcase core, rebuild it and mate it to the H55 and send it all together. Less chance of having something done wrong. Doing it this way also limited my downtime and then I just sold what I took out. Good luck. You will love the upgrade.

After first having a used and rebuilt H55F which was replaced with a new H55F, new is the only way I'd go for a transmission.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on my H55 install. Read somewhere, cant remember where that the four speed shifter will work by installing a 5 speed shifter bushing on the 4 speed shifter. Anyone know if that is a true statement?

The end of the shifters are different. The 4 speed shifter is flat on the end to fit in a slot and the 5 speed shifter has a ball with a nylon cover that fits in a cup of the center shifter rail.

Close, but that is a rattle can job (cleanly done) on the tcase, ours are all new parts. No paint or cad plating
