Super newbie. Headlight high/low started acting janky. Then heard a pop when trying to switch back and forth. Prob seems to be on the stalk itself, not the switch which I did replace. At the end of the stalk a spring and ball bearing are retained by a clip. This is the issue. Ball will not stay put and pops out when actuating the lever.

Don’t know if the spring isn’t applying enough force or the retainer clip is slightly bent.

Ok. Seems to be the clip. Bent it to be more of a 90 degree angle as it looks in all the pictures I’ve seen. Replaced it and it worked. Once. Clip rebent. Ugh.

Anyone have a part number or know where to find a part number for this piece? View attachment 3946882
That doesn't appear to be a separate part when I look it up in the EPC, it's a component of the entire switch assembly part number. You'll have to find used, but honestly bending it back is probably fine as long as it didn't weaken the metal too much.

Whelp. Bough the whole assembly from @Cruiser Corps and it doesn’t seem to fit. The plastic piece surrounding the steering column has two pins on it opposite each other where as the original piece and my steering has 3 pins in a triangle. Now what?

There was a post on the forum a while back, swap your old brown center piece into the new switch. Use the white one for table hockey or something...
Good Luck!
