Do you have the thermostat pinned? The CSF radiator seems to have positive effect on fluid temps.Ive compared it with another member. It definitely runs a tad bit cooler than stock. 86C/187F cruising

On the Hyden 678, With it being in the 90s now here in S.FL it's been hitting low ~170F.
If directed to me...no. I only pin the thermostat during a transmission fluid drain and service.

I see 170-190F on long trips over an hour. High as 215F when towing through mountains.

I am a big fan of the Power Fill. I may get a separate one for use with gear oil to avoid cross-contaminating things. I've posted this pic probably half a dozen times and will keep posting it :).

My rig is a 470, so it had a small OEM cooler (~1/3 the size of a Hayden). I DIY'd a bracket out of some 1" steel flat stock that fit the Hayden 678 (I've since upgraded to a Hayden 679 - which has the same dimensions but a low-temp bypass). Several folks make off-the-shelf brackets for 460s and 470s but they are easy enough to DIY if you have a bench vise and can bend stock.

Here is a link to the Power Fill. It's worth the $93 if you are going to DIY change drivetrain fluids on a regular basis.

I already have the bracket and cooler; I was talking about your pump and hose setup. I should’ve specified lol. I’m going to go the power fill route as well. I see you have a few connections on your pump setup, like the red hook line. Where can I get one of those? I'll be headed to Home Depot to pick up the fittings and ball valve.

There are a few setups you can find that use a garden sprayer, make sure it has something you can turn on and off by the tip from what I read.

So far, I have these in my cart at Treasure Coast Lexus > Website home page . Does anyone have the part # for the hose clamps? They're the spring type, not the worm gear type. This is for a Hayden 678 install. Am I missing anything? Also, I'll be getting some hose loom. I'm going to install it next weekend if time permits and the parts arrive.

I have done quite a few installs and am in the process of trying to design a kit for the community and my take is that I would pass on the oem hoses and the seal. My wife’s 2020 had a seal already there. The oem hoses are expensive and give no advantage over just hose from Amazon that you can mold yourself. Just my 2 cents, otherwise parts list looks good.

That's what I was trying to figure out. The 678 came with the hose, and I can also get more. I really just wanted the hardlines and bracket. I appreciate the info. I'll be taking the hoses off then.

Exactly my rational and glad to help. FYI, I have just finished the 1st iteration of my bracket and it will be able to attach to the oem cooler hose and oem bracket that you are purchasing. Hopefully the community will have some interest. Pic for reference.

I think that will be a great all-in-one setup.

I believe I have the clamps!

Those are the ones you want, I think you need 6 of them, but it wouldn’t hurt to grab a couple extra.
I grabbed 8. All ordered up and paid for. Might be a sale next weekend for Father's Day, but I wanna get this done. @evolute thanks for your help.

The red hook and ball valve both come with the PowerFill. The only things I added were for the used fluid (outlet line) from the trans cooler into the empty jug. They were a 3/8" brass double-barbed fitting and 3/8" vinyl tubing, both of which can easily be found at Home Depot.

IIRC.. I posted the list here on Mud in one of the various thread but forget if I posted with the PN pics back in 2019

All PN's, QTY, and pics of those OEM parts I originally posted here

The hoses that come with the 678 are sufficient. You really don't need any hard lines.

Too late. But I did order 15,000 miles worth of filters.

Hottest ambient temperature logged thus far are 31C, ~88F. Hit 104C briefly in the converter when passing but when the clutch locks the temps drop. I’m seeing the trans avg temperature track up to 10C higher than radiator temperature. Figure 90/100c for working peak for radiator/trans respectively.

It’s warm but perfectly acceptable, so I’ll keep holding off on a cooler for now. We will see what July holds when ambient can hit 40°C or more.
