I had a small fender bender this past week and was considering a Prado - swap. Still on the fence based on effort and time but thought I would share the results of my research. The kits from China are tempting but hard to tell quality with out seeing them in person. The other build threads didn't seem to post part numbers, so I figured I'd start a new thread. I think turn key though, the kits will be cheaper, especially if you want to do front and back. My plan was to do front all OEM, and for the rear, just the license plate surround, and eBay rear tail lights.
Here are what I got through comparing assembly part numbers part by part in each section. I had Megazip on one monitor, and a Lexus dealer on the other. Based off what I pulled off of my truck when assessing the damage, tried to do a through review, may have missed some things. I figure this can be a resource thread for those that need, and as you confirm what works or what didn't post it up. This is about 3 hours worth of work, but a good starting place.
Different trims are going to make it easier or more difficult. I have a premium, so the main gap for me is the headlights, they need to auto level to not throw a code, I think. I had a hard time finding if which 150 trims have that, it may be just the Kakadoo, as it's the only trim with airbags, but not sure. Maybe one of you do?
Also, really wanted to find headlights and grill from the newly release Matte Black trim, but didn't find much, I think they are UK, Singapore and Japan only, but not sure.
