That Rav4 borders on being a microcar!
Wonder if it's 4x4? Were you able to see axles in the rear? (considering it's a front wheel drive)

It was indeed 4x4. I gawked for a minute while my wife wondered what I was so enthralled with.

The rear was also removable as well for some convertible action!

Installed some LFD crossbars and their windshield on my 2020. I may add a third crossbar to fill the roof out a little, but I like the look and install was pretty straightforward (the roof needed something and the factory crossbars were a little too basic). I may add some storage to the rack, but I had a rifle case on my Tacoma and that thing was noisy in the wind (wind noise isn't terrible for now ... the wind shield definitely helps).

+1. I'd love to read a comprehensive review of these after some use. I've been eyeing them for quite a while.

I made it out to my usual wheeling spot today. Even on the holiday weekend I had it almost entirely to myself. A good time was had by all.

Freaked my family out at this dead end. There was a vertical drop of about 7000ft to the valley floor below, and the cliff face at our feet rivaled the grand canyon. High enough to put a knot in my stomach. My five year old said she wanted to slide down, I responded that she'd starve to death before she hit the bottom.

For nerds like me:

That canyon below me was the original wagon trail from southern California to the central valley. The base of the canyon, where it flattens out to farmland, was John C. Fremont's ranch after the Mexican American war. He got filthy rich supplying travelers for the pass. I-5 is now 15 miles to the east in the next canyon over, and there's a whole town called Grapevine that serves the same purpose.

My 80 series died on that pass. Along with countless other cars, trucks, wagons, horses, and asses. Tough country.
