So we all know there are some fun easter egg things lurking behind the plastic parts of most of the Toyota's (or at least the ones I like) from an electronic option stand point.

I'm negotiating with a few owners/dealerships for a GX460 (2010-2013) and I'm wondering about the following option. Some of the GX's were not factory/dealer optioned with a heated steering wheel BUT I'm interested in knowing if it's just a matter of fitting a switch and the heated steering wheel components are actually in the wheel?

Asking here first before submitting to Ih8mud

This is IH8MUD...sorry but I don't know the answer to your question.

Just in case you're not aware, but the factory heated steering wheel (which I have) only heats up the leather sections, not any of the wood sections.
So when it gets nippy out in the morning and I need to warm up my hands in lieu of not holding my hot cup of coffee, for warmth I can only hold the leather sections.
Also, the heater will time off after about 30 minutes.

Yes, I am aware of the feature. Frankly, I HATE the feeling of a hot seat or wheel. I do like using it as a negotiation tool with dealer's offering a next to base model 2011 as if it's fully optioned.

Adding the feature easily for the next guy is what I'm looking to do more than anything.
