How's wind noise when you open your sunroof at speed with that rack pulled back (not covering the front of the sunroof)?

Probably is the same… I’ve noticed that about some of that stuff like the roof top tents and awnings.I have the ironman aluminum flat rack at it looks virtually the same as that ARB. Wouldn't be surprised if one is rebadging the other or if they are made in the same factory.

I saw your review on 4wheelparts, that the rack does not have a mesh, correct? Did they rectify this?I ended up ordering the metal tech fit kit and a steel flat rack. Arb customer service is a pain in the ass. View attachment 2645451View attachment 2645453
Any other pictures of the rack? Any regrets not going with a prinsu or ARB or anything else? I’m half tempted to pull the trigger but I feel like the ironman 4x4 rack stands too tallI have the ironman aluminum flat rack at it looks virtually the same as that ARB. Height is the reason I went for the Southern Style Offroad rack, have yet to receive it, but it had the lowest height claim, just a bit lower than the Victory rack. It also has the biggest and most complete front fairing, the Victory one has cutouts on the sides + their logo. I too was quite concerned with wind noise, as even the factory crossbars that I added for the blackline made a bit of noise. Hopefully I chose correctly, time will tell.Any other pictures of the rack? Any regrets not going with a prinsu or ARB or anything else? I live close to SSO and am there quite a bit for several reasons. I have also been friends with Kevin and Catlin for years as well as several others who work there. And having ridden in different rigs with SSO racks, you made a great choice. Build quality is awesome and there is virtually no wind noise to speak of. They do a lot of R&D before they bring products to market. Their lead times suck sometimes but to get real quality it needs to be built by hand and that takes time.Height is the reason I went for the Southern Style Offroad rack, have yet to receive it, but it had the lowest height claim, just a bit lower than the Victory rack. That's awesome, glad to hear they're a good bunch of folks, and that the product is worth the wait. I'm eager to see/install/test the rack, but also knew it'd be a wait, and I'm not looking to do much camping now that it's winter, so happy to wait for quality. They did email this week saying that the parts had been ordered for cutting, and that it would be two or so weeks before they receive it to do the build, so guessing I'll see the rack sometime in late January.I live close to SSO and am there quite a bit for several reasons. Sorry to bump this thread, but do you know what is going on over there? I sent them emails the past couple of days, and then called them today to get an update, and they said things are hung up waiting for screws... Just strange that I received an email four weeks ago saying that parts were ordered and would be no more than two weeks, so I felt I was being patient, and now that were at four week, still crickets on their end. Also seems VERY strange that bolts are the hang up, you make racks, all of them need these bolts, how do you not have bolts ready to go for the "parts that had to be custom made" for an order that took place over two months ago. I don't want to talk trash about them, but... really, you can't call or send an email stating there are delays in the 'bolts department', and I had to go out of my way to contact them. Makes me wonder if I picked the right rack :|I live close to SSO and am there quite a bit for several reasons. The only thing I can tell you is that we live in a different world than we did a couple years ago. Material shortages still keep me baffled. Maybe they made a mistake and forgot to order the screws but I doubt it. It’s likely the supplier they use ran out. I was looking for distilled water today and went to 3 stores. All 3 were out. I don’t get it. You made the right choice. I know it’s hard sometimes but have a little more patience. You won’t be disappointed.Sorry to bump this thread, but do you know what is going on over there? Sorry, I don't know who your customers are, since I'm not sure what your business is, but can you elaborate? Also, I don't know what 'threaded inserts' are? Thanks!I have customers that have been waiting for 6 months for their orders because of threaded inserts.
Agreed, its a very strange world we now live in - I had to call six contractors to come do a 30 minute repair on my home, and only one showed up. I guess my frustration is the lack of communication, a simple email, "we're currently experiencing a parts shortage for bolts" would have been a lot better than me having to follow up. Hopefully I'm not being too negative, would just like to know. The only thing I can tell you is that we live in a different world than we did a couple years ago. I get it. Unfortunately (and I am not making excuses for anyone because I am with you......simple communication usually allays fears like what you're experiencing) in this workforce shortage world, follow up with customers on every front I face seems to come up woefully short. And it has just about become acceptable. I am holding out hope that this trend changes when we start to see the economy improve, the free money runs out and people actually get back to work!Agreed, its a very strange world we now live in - I had to call six contractors to come do a 30 minute repair on my home, and only one showed up. Hey what year you working with here? I've been trying to solve this riddle for a few weeks now on my 2017. Flat rack, non-prinsu style, not full length. Yakima and Rhino I have to go 84" length. This looks like a nice middle ground so curious if (when the rack comes back available) it will fit with proper leg / tower kit. Thanks!I have the ironman aluminum flat rack at it looks virtually the same as that ARB. Wouldn't be surprised if one is rebadging the other or if they are made in the same factory.

The Gamiviti rack sits very low with a flat top (no rails). The rails are downward to keep the profile low.Hey what year you working with here? If I'm not mistaken, Gamiviti does half and 3/4 length racks. You may want to give Tim a call and see what he can do. I'd give him (Gamviti) 5 starHey thanks. Yeah I like Gamvitti best of all for the full lengths. The sunroof cutout and overall slim profile are great. I just don't love the look of all fulllengths on the GX with their wind fairing so far up front and low. Peronsally don;t feel it works as well for the shape of this car vs some other more rugged/squared body styles. Totally an aesthetic thing, and know without wind fairing they are loud. This is my DD but use it for every outdoor activity imaginable as well up here in Maine, just not super hardcore overland or 4x4. Kayaks, skis, bike, fishing gear mostly. The univesal nature of a big flat pad up there rather than just cross bars is appealing. Again just don't want a full cover. I've already bugged Jake from WTITW about his LockN Load 55x49 setup form a year or two back, which can only be used with cross bars (no direct connect) in that size. My next thought was LFD Rugged Cross bars with a LockNLoad, but then spending a lot for really not a ton of usable weight. Basically Rhino and Yakima don't make something in this sweet spot that can hit all 3 fixed points on each side but NOT block the sunroof. That ~65-70 inch mark is the goal. That way I could hit 3 direct roof points, not go super wide (50+ "), and not cover the sunroof. ANd hopefully not be loud. Not asking much!
