So what looked like a straight forward panel swap was not so straight forward. The sheet metal on the Prado is missing the holes for access to the reverse light bulbs...though the holes for bolting them in are in the right spots only with plastic fasteners in their place. Anyhow, after several years of procrastination, I finally swapped out the panel to a GX one and fitted everything. Rather than have 4 sets of reverse bulbs, I opted for some super bright red LEDs and wired them to the third brake light. It's pretty spectacular and might even save me from being rear ended by an idiot on their phone or not paying attention. What do you think??
