Does anybody have any pics of this color plasti dip? I figured that when I take my wheels off to search for my squeak again I would redo my rims, and the gun metal looks kinda cool, but I can't find any good pics of it. Also, what kind of surface prep would I need to do on something that is already rattle can painted?

Just found a site called dipyourcar.com checking it out now. For colors.

Man I love this forum...all questions...even dumb ones get answered!

pretty sure my buddy works for dipyourcar.com, man I really need to get on this plastidip train... my gold emblems and silver wheels are still killing me. I like the idea of the gun metal better than black. If you take the plunge please update!

The gun metal grey looks more like primer grey. But the anthracite grey metallic looks like what you would think the gunmetal should look like. Did my wheels and emblems with this and turned out really well.

Looks like dipyourcar.com has an exclusive color called charcoal. In between black and gun metal. I think this is going to happen!

I used anthracite gray on my front and rear chrome pieces.

Woah that looks nice...wonder how it will look on black. Hmm...

It appears you primer'd first?

No, the first picture is the gun metal grey! It really does look like primer. The second pic is the anthracite grey. Have had it on since January and no issues with peeling. Has held up well so far. I used the gun metal grey to put the first couple coats on since that runs about 5bucks at Home Depot, them the anthracite grey for the top coats since that's 8-11 depending on where you buy it. It says that it is an exclusive dipyourcar color, only available on the website, but I have found it at ace hardware here in denver.

Yeah, I'm digging the anthracite now. Probably going to get the wheel kit from dip your car. I just need to figure out if I want to gloss the top or not.

I figure I will do one wheel at a time over the weekend with them off the truck. Otherwise they use small garbage bags to mask off the brakes.
