GSMTR, who plans on attending?

We'd only be there a few days as well, towards the end of the event, but in time for the raffle!

Are you pay that big A$$ entry fee and then only going a couple days? High roller I see, if I ever leave school I might be able to do that.

I will be up, along with Gundy, Hard40, Sputnik40, Rum Bum, Mike M, and about 5-10 other guys from Florida. We usually all camp together but the new campsite layouts really put a limit on that, unless you camp in Spivey. I need to be on the river cause I set up a shower and draw water from it.

No matter where we all camp, or get a rental home, the FLA and Upstate groups always get together for some good wheelin' and high-octane parties.

Good Plan!

I am registering and I am not even sure I am going :)

I registered last year for one trail ride...but I got my money back when I won a 50% off coupon for a welder that attaches to your alternator (I don't need that) and sold it for my registration money! Plus I got my FJ Cruiser watch! Totally worth it for the raffles and the swag.

Ah...but the rub is I don't have that many paid vacation days.

1 paid vacation day > 1 registration fee.

Stay in school. It's called "opportunity costs" young grasshopper.;p

Hey Marshall,
It's not that I am afraid to drive it that far, but I guess I am just leary of driving and wheeling. But I guess I could change all the fluids and such and it should be ok. It's not like there won't be people around to help if needed. :D I know if we go I better get off my bum and get some work done on it. I doubt I will attend all week, but maybe for a couple days. I'll have to check with the :princess: and see what she thinks.

Get a spare birf and axle....bring extra fluids...check your tranny and tcase fluids....check your pinion(if you're worried about it)...and your pumkin fluids and as long as everything is good then you won't have any problems....I drove my stock 60 4 hours to tellico wheeled the hell out of it and then drove it the 4 hours home....you have to know what your limitations are....if your rig aint ready for helicopter, slick rock, etc...then be smarter than the cruiser and don't wheel it on those trails....so stop making excuses and drive your ass to tellico....hell Alan broke his steering box on trail 8 and wrapped it back together with a tow strap, an engine welder, I think a horse shoe was involved and he drove it back to camp.

I broke both rear axles and made it home :)

That is nothin, I just got a PM that might make the Avocado look VEEEEEERY different if it works out. I may not have to worry about breaking again :)

i think it prob. has something to do with gear boxes at each wheel... :)

possibly :)
