Safe travels and please drink a beer for me! Hope no one loses their way this year in the dark. I am sure going to miss it but will be watching for trip reports from afar.

I'll be heading up Wednesday and will be there to help with Thurs & Fri breakfasts.

He'll be there. Monday, right Rocky?

Weather update that no one cares about:

Monday, high 86
Tuesday, 30% rain, high 86
Wednesday, 60% rain, high 73
Thursday, high 75
Friday, high 75
Saturday, high 77

I'd say that's about perfect in my book. I like chilly AM's, moderate temps on the trail.

Monday can't get here soon enough... so long as I can get my brake lines replaced and the wiring done on my lights and winch...

On the road!!

You might earn the "furthest traveled" award!

All packed and loaded. See you guys tomorrow.

Drive careful and keep the rubber side down (mostly at least).

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I think everyone had a nice time - there were a few minor issues (fuel delivery problems, broken shackle) but nothing that stopped us for long.

We've got some good video of all this! Hopefully we can get it posted up.

Last night was a little late getting Luis' outer birf taken care of (it helps to drive when you have wheel bearings). Then the campfire chat went a little late, but it's all good.

Today there's going to be some rain showing up around 2, and sticking around until late. We're going to ride up trail 22 (I think) and then check out the windmills. Then it's going to rain hard tonight, which will make for some really interesting trails tomorrow.

Steve showed up a short bit ago.

The slave clutch on Luis' truck went out. Fortunately the local auto parts store had one and we hadn't made it too far into the trail.

Got that done and kept going ... had a few fun spots. I've been having a lot of fun playing with my new part time setup. I'm re-learning the truck now, as it behaves differently with rear-wheel drive only. I'm actually really amazed at how LITTLE you need 4WD.

More video to come for sure... In the mean time a pic from today...

Great seeing everyone and meeting a few new faces. I had a great time and as always miss it as soon as we pull out.

I'll try and get some video processed tomorrow.

i had a great time !!! lots of action 24/7 on and off the trail. after riding in the "cadillac" (Carter's 80 series) and seeing Mel Lowe take a stock 80 down the trails I'm in the hunt for a "cadillac" of my own. ps. carters above weather forecast was from inside the Cadi.. . it was a little wet and never got above 55. I'm in a fj40 with no top i know exactly what the weather is like out side, cold and wet. the event was great fun and the people even better. great seeing everyone. I'm looking forward to Carter posting more pics.
