Danny you getting some ROCKERS ?

hey danny look forward to seeing you there. when are you planning to be there? camping or hore-tell?

We're going up the Sunday prior and found a cabin 9 miles away. We'll still hang out at camp but we'll have an escape. Last year camping for a week with the wife and 3 kids was way too much like work,so this year it'll be an actual vacation.

Hey Guys!! Just registered.. Will be leaving on Wednesday May 14 and hopefully meeting up with Mel Lowe (deo) and Al in Gainesville around 7pm and then driving the whole way up.

Still need to add some camp flood lights on the home made rack, and replace my center diff lock. Will be up in Orlando this weekend with the family. Will be cool to meet you guys!! Look forward in helping out for the mornings breakfast!

Damn too bad we can't all leave at the same time :) That would be one hell of a nice caravan!

Anyway, I'm working away at my last-minute items. I'm also working on some new LED's on the front... as well as a switch to override the low range transmission map - give me smooth shifts while in low range for the times when you're inbetween rocks but don't want to stop and put it in high range.

I still have too much to do... but it'll get done one way or the other. Getting ansy mself... it's been too long!

No VC! No VC!

For those of you unfamiliar with an 80 transfer case, the VC, or Viscous Coupler, is the device that gives the 80 AWD capabilities. It allows the drivetrain to slip between the front and rear axles.

I don't have one anymore :)

In fact, I don't have a few parts in my transfer case anymore...

I got my part time kit done, and the Marlin 80 low range gears finally installed.

I'll tell you what... you shift her in low range now and she squats. You can really fell it with the 5.29's.

I can't wait to try it out on the trails...

You're gonna need 'em :)

Like we came *CLOSE* to clearing the ones that were there last year :) But I'm not complaining. I'm wasting time until next month. ;)

Got the most of the Slee 4" lift done!

Still have to do the castor correction stuff and some extensions on the rear lower control arms... but at least the shocks and springs are done.

Thanks, it's been a long work in progress ;)

I'm amazed at how those 345's just get 'swallowed up' by the truck. It looks - normal - now. Like it was supposed to look like that! But she sure didn't used to look like that!

If this was a sports car, she'd be a 'sleeper' I think.

it looks like your rear axle is a little close to the front of the truck?

Good eyes Mr. Observant!

Yes, it is. There are other parts of the kit that I haven't put on yet, and that includes extensions for the rear control arms.

Gotcha

Well guys we're getting down to the last few days here!

I've been keeping an eye on the weather (even tho I know it's going to be wrong), and so far it looks like mid 80's Monday & Tuesday. Wed some rain comes in, then high temps stay in the 70's. Perfect! Dunno about Friday yet, but if we get one day of rain that aught to make things interesting.

For breakfast, we'll be doing that Thursday & Friday. Luis and I (and anyone else who wants to help) will be starting cooking some the night before, but some early (like 4AM) on the stovetop in the cabin. Then we'll keep it all warm in the oven, and just drive it over to the pavillion around 0645.

For those of you who are coming and don't have my cell #, PM me and I'll give it to you so we can keep in touch.
