Did anyone look up the exit number of our new meeting place ? I know it was on 81 right off of 66. But don't remember if there was a number attached to it. Did we say 9 or 930. It was a gas station right ?

I am going to drive down and find it this week end.

Ask and I shall answer:

Loves truck stop at exit 291 on I-81 south of Rt 66.

We will get in early on the 12th, anything I can do to help lockdown a certain area for you guys?

Probably will only stay a few days. Camping our way across states.

That will put us there at dusk.

From Exit 291, it is 430 miles to Windrock, which maps to around 7.25 hours minutes @ 60mph... Add 1.5 hours for fuel/food breaks and we are in the 9 hour range. Understand our speed is limited to 60 mph.
Assuming we left the truck stop at 0900, we would be there around 6:00.
Sunset is around 8:30pm.

I can plan to leave my house at 0530, but NLT 0630, which, depending on traffic, will put me at the Loves between 7:30 and 8:30. I would only need to top-up, take a whiz and grap a greasy breakfast sandwich.

What time were you thinking to depart the truck stop?

How many people are planning to meet at exit 291 and caravan down?

Show of hands?

Going to make an attempt. Shoot for 9:00 to hopefully be there by 9:30.

How about the fact that my 62 won't start ? Does that so anything for ya

I do plan on meeting at said exit, I will have Tracy with me and Will be following Barr

Who's bringing the Mickeys?!

I had to ask. Having an 11 page GSMTR thread and not mentioning Mickey's Boms is bad voodoo.

I think I will be able to make it this year as well. I will also be leaving on Wednesday so I hope to catch the wagon train somewhere south of Staunton:cheers:

Looks like Loves exit 291 @ 0900, depart NLT 0930. I think this is a pretty solid plan; but if there is consensus to meet earlier, I will adjust my time to make it there.
