I am in for 1 set. Need 19 more plus someone to loan them a 100 for a week. Come on guys lets get this moving.

Andrew,
If you can get 20 people together we will produce a set for the LC. We would also need someone to step up and loan us a vehicle for about a week or so for development.

Let me know if this sounds like it can be done.

Thanks
Nick

I applaud the effort and initiative.

(To avoid the usual "I'm in - depending on price" responses, seems like having a stated price target might make this more tangible?)

He said the price should be about the same as the tundra and only come in ceramic, $742. I sent him an email to verify.

ceramic coated only?
ok. interesting.

Where i got mine they'd never actually installed a ceramic coated set of Pacemakers on a Landcruiser 100 V8.....and when they ordered mine, there was a delay...and supposedly it was because"we've never been asked to do one before"...

anyway, you can almost put your hand on them after driving for a while. I drove about 15kms from where i was (but i'd been driving for an hour before) to get them to take off my skid plates and take the pics on my post above...and there was hardly any heat coming from them.
pretty amazing.
cheers

Nice work! If they can get a 100 over there to fit them and make some I'm in! My manifolds have had it, and i'd love to pick up a bit of power!

If it's close to tundra prices, which they will be since it's practically the same design, I'm in. I'll pay now. Show them my previous thread back with the JBAs

The tundra price shows $742 on their website. We need a person in CALI to step and let them use their truck for a week. Maybe we could take up a rental car collection.

We need 17 more folks. There was guy on the toyota forum trying to do the same for the v8 4Runner but they only got to like 3 people. We need to step up and order 20. My headers are toast.

Andrew thats a reasonable price given that they are ceramic coated.
i had a few quotes from places and uncoated Pacemakers were around $800 (Oz) fitted. They said they'd done quite a few LCs and even a few twin exhausts (and thats a whole other topic coz of the fuel tank in the way).

If you want i have my cats in the garage and can take a pic for you...the intake is sooo smalll...as is the exit....

And the guys up at bulletcars.com (yes i've mentioned them many times on here) said that they will cut off the tube or flange or whatever and match it to the tube that comes in...or...if you want stock, you get stock...but seriously...it is small.

But also, they use Genies...i have Pacemakers, and the Genies are bigger. 100TD notes that in my exhaust thread.

I wont know about the difference until i can afford the supercharger and if there are issues with flow. I can only dream about that now...but.
i'll shut up and let you discuss your headers.

please make an effort in getting these....you will be amazed.

Question, would these headers be legal in California? I would need to be able to pass the annual smog inspections that we have in this wonderful State.

Would there also be a discounted price to the person that puts up their LC for this? If so, any ideas on what the pricing would be?

Todd its all about the cats.
With my extractors and the hi-flow cats, they had to slightly extend the sensors...in terms of the wires that lead to the sensors. You can see that in one of the pics in my post.
There was no issue with my ECU...i was warned that there could be though. That's why i like Performance Exhaust (dealt with way back in 1989) as they tell you like it is instead of saying "yes yes yes".
They mentioned that a few installs had the engine warning light come on...and yeah reset it with something like a ScanGuage, which i have anyway.

But that was rare for the installs in Oz V8s. Mine is a Jan 05 plated but build date Dec 04...and i wish i could sue coz i wanted an 05...anyway. It's not for sale nor is it going anywwhere. officially its 05.

back on topic...no issues. very happy man here!

Nick responded that the price would be @ $642 if we get the 20 people.

I asked him about Cali legal, I would think yes. Once he responds, I will let you know.

Also, I think we could work something for the donor 100. Any ideas guys?

We need 17 more, come on guys. Let's get this moving.

Can someone post to clublexus and any other toyota sites? I posted to www.expeditionportal.com

I called my friend in LA (mud member) and asked him if he could get his uncle(that now has his ARB'd LX) to give DT the truck for testing. Waiting to hear back.

I'll post it up on Club Lexus later.

Nick at DT said the gain should be about the same as the tundra which works out to about a 10% gain. 10% seems a bit high however I hope he is right.

I would like 10%!

My concern is warranty issues. Something like this would surely void warranty and I have 45k to go.

I will jump on board if you get close and need more.

Not necessarily. Most manufacturers will only decline a warranty repair if they can trace the cause back to the aftermarket part causing the issue. So, getting cats or O2 sensors replaced under warranty would be unlikely in this scenario. But, your NAV going out would still be covered.
