If you can donate it to some type of charity, try to get a price (high) on it and write if off your taxes!

Normally I would happily donate to a good legit charity that helps abandoned animals or children but these aren't worth donating. That and I don't really write this stuff off because you don't really get much of a benefit from it anymore. We probably donate $1,000's every year of usable stuff and I just don't see a monetary benefit claiming it on our taxes--not that this is the point mind you. Haha.

Quick note, the parking sensors up front work pretty much like they did on the factory front bumper. I tested them tonight and was pleasantly surprised how well they work.

GROM Vline installed. Had to do some redneck engineering to get it to work with my glovebox organizer. Nothing some tinsnips and a file won’t solve. Cut some slots on the glovebox panel door, vertical and horizontal slate of the organizer itself.

So far it is a million times better than that stupid Phoenix tesla screen I put in our 470. I almost want to trade that for a factory 470 ML NAV radio and put the GROM on it.

A pic in sunlight. After adjusting the brightness/contrast it looks good.

When you get a chance MrTorque, can you also give a list of "pros" and "cons"?

Looks good!

What did you use to black out the chrome surround around the F-Sport grill?

I used this Bulldog adhesion promoter after sanding it down with 80-grit sandpaper. The finish came out mostly how I wanted it to but lets see how well it holds up to branches and rock chips. I feel like I want it to fail so I can raptor-line it next time.

The mad dash to complete projects continue. Big ups to @THEOZMAN for the harnesses!

Got quite a few accessories to get installed before my wife and I head out on our 10th wedding anniversary road trip in either May or June. We’ll be visiting every state out west but OR/CA. Driving from NE Texas to Bonners Ferry ID then down to Boise, Bear Lake, Salt Lake City, Vegas, Taos or Colorado then back home.

Installed a new rear view mirror with front (and rear) dash cam. I will need to install the rear camera later on as I’m still debating on where to install it.

Is that just a clip-on over the factory mirror?
Also, hows resolution? Easy to just glance at it and make out objects like a real mirror?

It is a clip on, well strap on really. I put two tiny 3M VHB double stick tape squares to ensure no movement. Here’s the link below. Video quality is very good. I have one for the 470 too I need to install.

Plus with it turned off it still operates as a mirror.

It looks like the front camera is hard mounted to the mirror?
I can care less what the front camera is doing since my eyes are on the road, but what I'd really like would be a front-end camera for parking and off roading on difficult trails. It'd be great if that front camera could be mounted on the grill or bumper.
What are your thoughts?

It’s a dash camera first and foremost. You gotta have a dash cam these days to prove you’re not at fault in a collision or even evidence of anything needing to be reported. I do want a front camera pointing just off the front bumper. Hah. That’ll be later.

We will be going to Bonners Ferry in mid-June. It’s going to be an epic road trip. Going to add Gillette —> Sheridan —> Cody in WY on the way out to Bonners Ferry scouting out additional possible relocation areas. The Bighorn National Forest appeals to me greatly.

We will be in Coeur d’Alene / Sandpoint
for a day and on the beach on Priest Lake when we are up there.

Sounds like a great road trip! Safe travels!

Well it better be! :D

Sounds awesome indeed.

If y'all need anything around Colorado, you've got another internet buddy here for ya.

We'll be in Hillside/Westcliffe/Silvercliff area for a few days. How close is that to your neck of the woods? The only real thing we are sight seeing this time is the Great Sand Dunes otherwise it'll just be more of the relaxing doing nothing sort of thing. Some exploration down roads and trails that my previous Dodge Charger couldn't make is in the plans too.

Bonners Ferry area is spectacular! To bad you won't be around October for the Panhandle Overland Rally, unless of course you move by then. ;)

I wish we would of been able to move that soon. It'll be at least another year unless I either find a job with relocation assistance or one that significantly increases my salary. I just wish my wife was ready to go 3~5 years ago when I was back when real estate prices were not high like they are now.
