Hi
Just installed a new used power steering pump four days ago. It works great, but this morning I noticed that the nice red color had some grey discoloration as if a bearing was adding metal to the dextron fluid. Has anyone experienced this before? Should I drain the pump and refill it or is it doomed?

thanks

It couldn't hurt to drain it and put in some fresh ATF. Then see if the new stuff stays clear. Maybe it just needed flushed out. Worth a try before you pull the pump again.
