Dear forum,

Its almost 2 months since i bought the successor of my beloved LX470 from 1999, which i drove for 8 years and 80 000km , with almost 100% smile on my face during that journey, build my house with it and tow multiple project cars ,GREAT TRUCK!

So next page, the new daily drive is 2008 LX570 ,car is average condition, no rust. 98k odo.
Last weekend i've took for a simple humble ride in the mountain with the kids. No mud, no snow,20 degrees . There was a bump between concrete bridge and gravel i wanted to descend .The gap made me little bit nervous (probably because the new car feeling) and decided to play safe and i've hit the HI on the AHC while stopped .

What happened the pump raised the rear axle only, awkward for me, but what to do. Thing is that thereafter the AHC didnt lower back to N and stuck btw HI and N transition poisition,(there was arrow several times but without any result for the rear axle. So car currently stays like that. Lowering a bit over 40/50km/h but generally. Stays like that...
On the highway after several line changes the Warning and triangle "AHC...inop check AHC" appeared, Car started to jump in front like lowrider, and in the back "Go Kart" solid.

I'know that in such cases, just leave the car for a night drink 2 beers and next morning activities are with bigger efficiency .

What i did already:
-OBD scanner didnt found any fault msg, with the AHC inop warning and after the disapearing of it. Its spurious msg and gets reseted after on/off on ignition pb (i think related to the adaptive suspension function)
-Battery disconected-Conected. - no success
-Jacked the front with little contact of the fwd wheels and did successfuly drop the rear to normal level(with the switch), then i've pushed to go N ,and really slow the system attempted to raise the car to N,but no success, pump running normal, no crazy noise. Strange is even fwd on N and rear to HI, the tank is overfull.
- I'm trying to arange booking for Local Stealership, but no free hours for this month. So please help, not to ruin our Holiday after 10 days.

* even 2 months test drived i've ran almost 3000km and noticed that very strange (check AHC) msg appeared twice on some sharp corners in mountain passages which i've time attacked :D . Then on the petrol station they got reseted, and i've convinced myself that its just the New Era electronics infested toyota models as well, but now im in doubt that may be related to last issue( im really guilty that didnt check the fluid level just for info....

I’m also quite new to the whole LX570 world but I’ve been doing a deep dive into the different systems and capabilities for over a month now.

Have you performed an AHC refresh yet? There’s quite a few threads and videos out there documenting the entire process. The results are almost always favorable. The costs involve purchasing the fluid (prices fluctuates) and the AHC Globes (4 total at about $100 each) and 2 beers worth of time.

Can’t hurt to try while you’re waiting for a time slot at the shop.

You’re very likely to get lots of ideas and help from this AHC thread.

Nonrelated to the subject ... what kind of spare tire is that under your truck? Is that some kind of cover?
It could be related, there seems to be some custom fabrication going on down there.

Hi , i also on statement that's not related .Its a LPG tank which is 10kg more than the OEM spare which i take only on long trips. The AHC thread i've gone twice thru it and didnt find my case. There was similar issue on other Thread, but the owner isolated the defect - torn sensor there. I've cheked both on rear axle there and no visible damage. both on middle adjustment.

Need to get techstream to see what sensors are reporting to the AHC ECU.

This sounds like a case where the height sensors are out of calibration or faulting. The AHC ECU is having trouble commanding proper heights without good feedback.

I agree, I would get techstream to see the codes and what the sensors are reporting.

Gremlin (rod) found on fwd rh sensor! It was slightly bended and cracked on 90%-prob oxidation , looks like some sort of Aluminium Alloy.
Temporary welded today up to the arrival of the new sensor (currently searching) . All works perfect now ,even test drived....

Thanks for the support. This is the best forum :*
