Greetings All,

I recently purchased a 2000 LX470. She has 174,000 miles, originally from Texas and has spent only five winters here in the salt belt.
Looking forward to learning more about the 100's. After owning many, many cars, this is my first four wheel drive vehicle. I have lots to learn.

I have a real rookie question regarding the 4 wheel drive.
How do you operate it? Is it always in 4 wheel drive, does it need to be running when putting it in low, etc. thank you.

Get your favorite beverage, find your favorite reading spot, and read the owner's manual. TONS of good info in there, lots you wouldn't even think about. Your truck is full time 4x4, stop to select low range and with the tranny in neutral.

Sorry for the interruption, but those anybody have a recomendations for a indy shop in the Minneapolis area..??

Coming from Salt lake city where you see land Cruisers on every corner is kind of strange how few you see around (gx470 tons of them, this is Lexus city)
