Are you feeling out of place or without companionship? Do you experience days that drag by without ambition or purpose? Is your performance leaving love ones dissatisfied? Given the weight of this decision and the negative stigma surrounding cult membership, it is important to note that participation is strongly recommended but not required. FJ Cruiser ownership is not just another means of transportation but instead a lifestyle. New members will often find themselves overwhelmed by strange ritualistic gestures that could otherwise be confused with basic common courtesy. The most deeply entangled FJ owner will find it instinctive to wave, flash, or take drastic measures to physically converse with other members. For reasons I can only associate to powerful group identity or tribalism, unassuming and otherwise normal people become entrenched in this lifestyle and I feel the need to extricate myself from the community before falling victim. As a result of this decision, an opportunity has presented itself to fill a highly desired opening. Spending it's early years outside the salt belt, this 2007 FJ Cruiser aged gracefully in comparison to those with permanently damaged lower units. At 164,728 miles, we have achieved the perfect balance of previous experience while not exceeding the reasonable life expectancy as seen in politicians. From a superficial perspective, this black cherry metallic FJ fits in with the most pretentious of company. Ancillary enhancements such as Method race wheels, 33” Goodyear duratracs, 2” lift on bilstein 5100 shocks, and led off-road lights have been added to maintain its edge upon the younger crowd. Inside the cabin, we have a primarily stock configuration with with the exception of an upgraded Kenwood sound system providing backup camera and blueteeth technology. Mechanically, there have been collection of larger maintenance items completed in the last 3000 miles. Most notably, a complete timing kit “main/secondary chains, sprockets, guides, and tensioner” was installed to replace the original stretching chain commonly found on 07-09 models. This service was finished off with a new water pump, fan bracket, and fluids. Overall, a really nice/clean rig that is ready for years of enjoyment and likeminded weirdo’s waving at one another.
