Made about a hundred phone calls yesterday searching for the best deal on these, and after a bit of haggling managed to get them for $149 a piece which equated to $857 out the door(taxes, mount & balance, disposal fees, etc) for 5 of them. All in all not a bad deal, especially for how much they changed the truck's performance.

So far I've only driven 20 miles on them, but initial impressions are EXCELLENT. The truck sits a little higher(always good ;) ), corners 10 times better, and even feels like it has a little more umph off the line(which I know doesn't make sense, maybe I'm just excited). I can't stress how much better the ride is. I previously had Dueller H/T's and was skeptical that these tires would make a difference, but they did and a big one. The truck used to really push in the corners and all in all felt very sloppy. Now I feel like I'm on rails and the steering response during lane changes and such is incredible. I was concerned my steering box had been damaged in my accident, but after putting these tires on, I'm not longer worried. I think the difference may be related to the fact that the Revos are LT rated and the H/Ts were not.

My only complaint is that they ride much firmer, but I have not yet checked the pressure. I'll check pressure and get pics tomorrow for you guys.

Thanks to everyone who recommended this tire, I'm really glad you did!

Ary

P.S. For those who followed the 4.56s and 285s thread, I've learned to use the ECT button and gas pedal more and a gear swap is not in my future anytime soon.

Cool, Congrats. More and more I'm thinking these tires will be my next type tire. I've had several sets of BFG AT KO's on my Runner but I think the Bridgestone Revos will put more manageable power to the tarmac. With the Wranglers I have now, they really chirp and skip under power especially when powering through corners I think the KO's would do better and I am sure that the Revos will do better still. Again, congrats!

I will add that I've had BFG ATs(265/75 16s), BFG MTs(255/85 16 & 35x12.50 15), GY MTRs(285/75 16) and SS TSL Radials(31x9.50 r15) in the past on another vehicle and this is the best driving tire I've had yet.

Good Choice. I love'em.

When will you guys take me up on my Destination M/T advice? ;p

Seriously, glad you are happy with them! I had the same initial impressions when I had my destinations mounted (except for the power boost impression), and still love them to this day. Wifey says they hum on the freeway, but it's hard to distinguish from the regular wind noise.

Sounds like you made a great choice on the Bridgestones !!!.. unfortunately when i purchased my LC last Dec, it came w/new Toyo M410 Radials All Season...and don't do much wheeling and will probably stick to these for now, since its supposed to last 50k miles ???!!!!! i'm sure they'll wear sooner than that.. then i'll pick up the Bridgestones...

Pictures please!

Since you asked so nicely I decided to run outside and grab a few pictures. In my haste I forgot my keys. Well, after taking a few pictures I returned to find that my trailer was locked and I'm the only one with a key. So, after spending 10 minutes breaking into my trailer, I'm now ready to share pictures :D

The first pic is a before shot, the rest are afters...

BTW it's been raining here today and I tried a couple of HARD stops this morning on my way to work. Stops that would normally have had the ABS trippin all over itself trying to engage with the old H/Ts, but not with these tires. Out of about 5 agressive stops only once did the ABS kick in and I was practically stopped at that point. I'm very impressed.

I just put a set of Revos on my DCab Tacoma, 265/75/16. Love those tires. Sooooo much better than those wacked-out BFG AT's I had on there. They were just out of round!!!

Jody.

Gotta agree with your impressions, except the power boost. Just a slight bit more sluggish IMHO, but I love mine after 5k.

Did that price include road hazard warranty? Do they come with one standard or is that extra?

I've been taklking these tires up for a while - I have 10K on mine, and they still ride like new. We had snow here yesterday and they performed great, actually hard to lose the rearend going around a turn.
Mine did come with road hazard. If your ride is harsh check the tire pressure. The day after I got mine I checked it and they had put 55 psi in all 4 tires. Bringing it down to 40 changed the harshness to smoothness and they didn't lose any of their good traction characteristics.

Good job on the tires, now get off your lazy arse and paint those hubcaps! :flipoff2:

Truck's looking good with those tires on! Excellent choice (I picked the same ones). :D

I was going to buy these in friday morning, but the best price I can find is $176 each plus tax. Where did you find them so cheap.

Ary,

Tires look good on the truck, now you need an OME lift.

I got them from a place called Radial Tire Co. It seems to be a chain since there are a few in the Washington DC metropolitan area. They quoted me at 159 and I said I'd take them at 149 and they said ok.
