Awesome thread (and super entertaining too)!

I stumbled on it because I am getting ready to monstaline the same color scheme you have on my 80, and found your photos. Great work! I don't know how you manage to get so much done so quickly, but cheers to you! I spent about 2 1/2 hours reading along last night.

People work at different paces. I recommend spraying the first coat of ML and then rolling the other two.

Thanks

J

ALL,

I have extended my product line this week with the Terrain Tamer products. I am pleased and honored to be working with these other two fellow Mudders, Georg Esterer aka @orangefj45 and Ward Harris aka @wardharris. They have joined together to bring yet another selection of quality products to our Toyota community.

I have used some of the Terrain Tamer products on my personal cruisers for years. The quality of these components speak for themselves. When Georg and Ward contacted me I was thrilled to be a part of this endeavor. Georg, Ward and myself all strive to give our customers the very best service, quality, communication and pricing we can.

I recommend you follow this link and see what they are bringing to our community.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or inquiries on the Terrain Tamer product line. I can drop ship or add parts to your order upon request.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Jason

Here it goes Jason, now you're going to need a bigger shop.
Are they getting their shipments in . I know the port strike has crippled imports since December. I was trying to get a few Boss air bags. They're Aussie but the distributor is in Canada. They haven't seen their monthly delivery since Dec 23

Great, just what I need ANOTHER thing to spend my money on... Bad thing for me is the Georg is close enough that I can run down same day and grab stuff, or better yet pay for it and have my dad pick up and bring up on his regular weekend trips.

Same for Toyota Japanese parts... I have been waiting for months on many parts for different customers. A lot of the parts are sitting in containers on massive container ships just west of Long Beach, CA just waiting for some spots to off-load containers for emptying.

I've been waiting on 1FZ-FE fuel filters for almost 1.5 months.

I hear the labor dept declared the strike illegal because of some of the demands the union was making and forced the Oakland port to open to at least some business. Larger companies like Walmart , Home depot and Target have already been rerouting to Mexican ports. The Mexican ports have spent a lot of money and time expanding to accommodate the overflow. It remains to be seen if when the strike is over whether those large companies will come back or will all the lost US jobs that the strike caused just be lost to Mexico forever. We had huge amounts of timber and beef and agricultural exports that had to be halted resulting in thousands of layoffs. the Agriculture rotting at docks. According to reports from the Journal of Commerce , 65% of import/export plan on permanently reducing freight to those ports next year. This is worried transportation companies like trucking and railroad since 50 -60 percent of their volume is discretionary. What bothered me was the lack of news coverage outside of industry papers like Manufacturing News and others.
I think the government didn't want people to know anything. It would spoil the shiny, happy economical reports they keep feeding us......meanwhile I have to air mail my airbags...poor me

Finally got around to painting "Squidly" or "Mr. Mustache":lol: today.. Had to paint a customers bumper so figured I should do something else...

Yup,
I just counted them last week. I counted 24 container ships anchored off shore off the port of San Pedro/Long Beach, CA. Crikey! What a mess.

Totally admire/support/encourage J's willingness to go outside of the norm. When I first joined the 60 scene, it made me nauseous to see all of the 40 products available but so few for the 60's. After talking to a few of the guys that actually design & build (vs. copying designs that have been around for 15+ yrs), I understand the financial impossibility of tooling something for the select few. However, I'm a firm believer in...you get what you're willing to pay for. . .

Hats off, J - keep it up (no pun intended) and looking fwd to whatever rolls out of yr garage.

Dash projects, 60 grills. . .first born will be fedex'd str8 to your doorstep =)

That bumper is growing on me Jason. I see a high degree of annoyance in the assembly so I wouldn't build that for me ...I'd just have you do it.
The tube work took some time and patience to make parallel on all planes... Please tell me that's not solid 1 1/2" plate caps. My back is already
threatening to leave me

Nice gesture Shane but if it were me, between a first born and a Barrett 50 with all the trimmings.... I'm gonna have to go for the bigger bang..no offense

Agreed. Barrett, buried shipping container(s), food, ammo, water, med kit, and a few M18 claymores. . .my wish list is long =)
