J,

Has a decision been made for relo? You should go with WA state...no state income tax, no salt on the roads, plenty of great trails, and some great

He's gonna look high, he's gonna look low. He'll soon realize Texas is where his business will grow :)

I vote rural Oregon, I am bias though as I grew up there and spent my first 24yrs living there.

Before you split out though you should come on up and have a few beers in the shop. :)

Cheers

We have good beers too ;)

I like that tire carrier. It is tight on the body. Good work!

I definitely want to get up that way asap. I'm the opposite of you...spent my first 22yrs in Boston area....don't think I could ever go back now....cost of living and quality of life don't compare to the PNW. I'd second the vote for rural Oregon...beautiful down there.

I miss TX as well...lived there for 5 yrs. Wife got sick of the summer heat

Not yet K, hopefully we will decide before the summer ends. Spokane area is not off the list yet..

If I were single it would be on my list, but I'll never get my :princess: to live there again....

It'll be a bit before we leave... House needs to sell, finish the last few repair items and ...

This is an awesome Rig! Nice job on the bumpers and all the body work!

Thanks, glad to see yours moving along as well.

Finished the bull-(ROO) bar :)lol:), winch mount (I fgured a way to sink it another 1.5" down in the bumper) and all the remaining welding on the front bumper this morning. Next up will be the front heavy plus springs and clearance brackets. Probably start this on Monday unless I get some free time this weekend.

Hope by the end of next week I have the springs swapped, brackets built, Aisin for Warn hubs swapped, sliders installed, gas can swingout built, exhaust chopped off and PS fender replaced.... and ?? unless I get another order to fill.. We'll see what happens.

Just a 1/4" thick piece of aluminum, welded to an aluminum hinge bolted to a bracket I fabbed and welded to the tire carrier. It flips up via a locking type gas spring...and stays down via another little ball catch at the bottom.

The nice thing about a flip up: No support wires to limit what you can place atop the shelf. The downside: It would be one damn tall shelf on a raised 60 with 37's ;)
Yes.. Mine is looking to be around 38" tall. Maybe I should do a 2 stage flip up...
Stage 1 for food prep, service etc...

Stage 2 for COCKTAIL HOUR

I was just about to say flip down table = bar

that bumper looks great. I think I officially hate my ARB bull bar now....that I bought back in April :bang:

You should call that Bumper the Spartan. It's simple, sexy and looks strong.

EDIT: before any gay references get made about me thinking the Spartans are sexy, I would just like to mention that as a former Marine they were our role models. Everything was about keeping it to the bare minimum yet still achieving the max out of it. This bumper seems to fit that description.

Ha!... So Johnny and I are KR's spokesmen... Are you for hire for Trail-Tailor?????

Makes soo much more sense:doh:. I was racking my brain about Greek city states or leaders that had the initials KR. The only thing that came close was Kronos, and he was only the father of Zeus.

Well in my book, KR is the Zeus of fabrication and attention to detail.
