I had no idea that was Goss' exhaust... That's where mine is now and I don't know how I'm gonna sneak it past the brake and fuel lines near the US passenger side firewall...
I should'a moved them while the bay was empty...

A, Johnny and a few others have had to cut the firewall and PS floor pan and tunnel the pan.. Everyone of these are a bit different, pending the set/depth of the motors..

I have to cut out my PS floor pan to get the twin sticks installed and the 4LO linkage tied in. I only have 4HI now. I figured WTH since I'll be in there anyway.

HOW IS T.E.C. doing?

Yeah, I'm not trying to chop it up too much. I have my twin sticks almost set up through the stock hole on my 62. I don't have the body work skill you do to clean up after cutting up. Little more time with the heating torch and they should work well.

The family is home from the hospital and Theo is doing great, thanks so much for asking.

Good looking little man A, teach him how to whistle.... his mom won't teach him that. Give mom a hug from us. Congrats Bro!

Front springs swapped, all four corners have shocks now, extended the sway bar rod with SS all thread and new bushings, most of the oil relo kit is installed..need different filters, small hole....

Removed the exhaust and got the new downtube fabbed and ready to run the rest to the back. I'm not going to have to notch and tunnel the firewall and floor pan. I may try and get the twin sticks in tomorrow as well..

Had to order a couple of gaskets and clips for the front axles/hubs. The way these WARN hubs were installed/designed ... Well NEVERMIND.. OMFG!! Other than that, a good day for me so far.

Will round up oil filters, 3" pipe and some wire looming tomorrow and get back after it.

Your bender handle that three inch?
I see some nice welding and grinding going on there too...

A, I bought these pieces pre-bent. Cheap kit from a mandrel outfit. I hate thin stuff and didn't want to change out wire to .023 or .030" SO... grinder came out.

One of my benders will handle 3" x .120" easily. My new one will only go to 2.5"..

You get your shipment?

I am so jealous of your shop and tools and fabrication skills and well, pretty much everything. Amazing bumpers! I'm gonna need to pick up a couple of the spindles from you if/when you have some available sir.

Have several ready to go. PM me and I'll get them headed your way.

You have taken up a fair bit of compression on those shocks, looks like you have under 4" left which means there's around a good 6" of rebound? When the chassis comes down it is going to bottom out the shock before it hits your bump stops which look like your springs have around 10" of travel?

What are your fronts like, the same?

I have 6 3/4" of downward travel. With the rig flexed completely out and the tire stuffed, it doesn't bottom out.

Edit.. Also, this is not a normal SUA set up. My spring perches have been extended +/- 6".

I'd be wary of those rear heater lines getting fried by the heat of the exhaust. Expect that downpipe to radiate at least 800 if not 1000 degree heat.

Wrapping the downpipe or removing the rear heater would both work.

Yes, I saved the cool-wrap from the previous exhaust. I was looking at the rear heater elimination yesterday as well. So many things to do and decide on.

Holy heater hoses... Tightened these up a smidge, removed about 4 extra feet of hose... Exhaust is run to the PS rear tire and "dumped", gonna have to order more 3" pipe. LPS only had 3' in stock. Dual relo is in and DOES NOT leak (for now), WOOHOO!! Cleaned up a little and painted the front end and inner PS fender. Wrapped the downpipe and lower heater hoses in left over cool-wrap. Hung donor fender and aligned.

Started on the twin sticks, but I have to make some mods due to the "tilt" of this motor/trans... got everything cut out and waiting for tomorrow.

Cheers all,

J

Good enough Johnny? I ran it for about 15 around town and everything looks pretty good.
