Good Auto Parts place in or around Albuquerque?

Howdy Folks --

Here's the low-down:

I live in So Cal, but will be in Albuquerque and Espanola for a few days next week, visiting relatives. Trying to find a good Auto Parts store to order me a 49-State Catalytic Converter for my 86 FJ60 ... The usual characters like Kragen, Pep Boys, O'Reilly's won't take a Credit Card over the phone, and I need to give it some lag time for the order. Only gonna be there 3 days... No one seems to have them in stock.

I'm doing this 'cuz the friggin' CA CAT is almost $400 while the 49-State is about $165 - and they're the same damn units!

And they won't ship to CA...

Any suggestions?

Well CDan is based out of Albuquerque don't know if you want OEM or not. Will the other shops not just order it in for you and then you pay when you pick it up when you come in?

Believe it or not, even the OEM is not legal in CA - They've made it OBD II compliant retroactively.

So I might as well just buy the cheaper one, and it's better low-flow design too.

Yeah, the shops won't take a CC unless I have a commercial account with them - and they won't order without pre-pay 'cuz it has to come from magnaflow warehouse (which is about 20 mins from me )

So I'm looking for a shop that will just take my CC over the phone, order it, and I'll pick it up when I'm there. Doesn't matter if I pay now or later, to me...

I'd give Jim's Route 66 muffler a call. I would bet Jim would either take your info, or just have one in stock.
