Hey all, I'm going to look at a m416 and was wondering if you owners had any pointers to give. I have done quite a bit of reading however any tips would be appreciated. Thanks hopefully I'll own one tomorrow. btw their asking 450 for it. <img>

SOOOOO I looked at the trailer and it has some rough spots. The main thing is the front got smushed about an inch and a half(top part of the bed). However he has another bed that has been smushed on the back. I could cut at the corners and take the front of the extra bed and create one good box. The bed is solid as far as rust however there are three puncture holes. It has the pintall style hitch and it is all original. You think its still work 450? I could sell the rest of the sheet metal from the bed that I cut up.

No, I don't think it sounds like a 450 trailer. I would go 300 for a non-straight trailer. There is way more work in straightening panels than cutting a little rust and re-sheeting it.

Just my .02

Thats what I was thinking, I was going to go no higher than 325 and see if he'll deal. Thanks

i got one for $500 with a rusty floor and thought i could just throw in some new metal, but it was alot more work than i expected. in hindsight, now i would have paid 800 or 900 for one in pristine cond.
