ok, so why so bad?
I know a lot of the imports are "lipstick on a pig" situations and that most of the SA cruisers were several years behind the US ones in terms of upgrades/safety features - so I definitely wouldn't get getting into one for $25k - but I wouldn't rule them out entirely just because they're imported. Careful inspection is key - but that's true of US 40's as well. Otherwise, you end up with a rig like mine

yeah that.....erra never mind, those 80s suck, you dont want one of them..
Saw this in a nice neighborhood in OC NJ today stopped to look it over. Repainted with red paint on some of the weatherstripping. Driver wing window frame rusted away at bottom. Bolts missing from the pins that go through the frame mounts for the springs front and rear. Brake line t bracket not bolted down just hanging there. Didn't look much further.
I think what you saw paints the picture clearly.
With that kind if budget I could let this go.
