POW? There are a lot more miles of road there than here in JNU. I think Haines has the most Cruisers per capita of any SE town.

There are several 80s there. I did not see another 70. I had several people offer to buy mine, but she ain't for sale. At least not at this time.
I've seen a couple very nice 60s, a 55 and a couple 40 series in Haines but no 70s. I had a BJ70 for a couple years in JNU. Right now there are two 70 series trucks at a private junk yard here. The City has condemned the yard and will be removing everything to be crushed. A friend looked at them, neither had a 5 speed. 3B engines, real low miles but have been sitting out in the elements for a number of years. We believe they were mine trucks at AJ "back in the day" when mine tours were still a thing.
Haines is one of the neater places one can reach by road. Will need to get back there again sometime

Question to anyone reading: Is there any resource around with photos & brochures from around when this car was built? I’d like to try and get the side graphics redone.

I used a decal kit from these guys and it worked out really well (definitely recommend having a pro install it). I think this is the same body style as the 77 but don't take my word for it, I have a 74. When I first looked for a kit there was someone out of Australia selling them on eBay so there might be closer options.

2LT engines, nice engine but I always thinking why toyota have been produced a 2L with a turbo because there's very little improvement with it comparing the natural aspired 2.4L that have been falling me in love with my Toyota Hilux X-tra Cab.

Yes, the engine is underwhelming to say the least. If one day I have money for that, I will change the engine to something else (perhaps a Lexus LS450 though the conversion diesel > petrol seems a bit complicated).
Otherwise, I just want to clean it up — remove whatever is not original (e.g. rear bumper was not black I think; rear lights covered with black sh*t); make it clean, replace or respray the windscreen frame (rusted at bottom, was badly repaired and painted the wrong colour!). New tyres.
Oh, and in my language trucks are boys, cars are girls

Nice alloy bullbar, I've the same now on my 78 and it's the best ratio between weight and protection of body-frame.
