6. How you use the truck- DD, The accelerator is used as an ON/OFF switch just to try to get out of its own way, Un-killable! I beat the hell out of it every time I drive it!
In 12 years, here's what I've had to do:
Two sets of tires
Rebuilt rad
Rebuilt alternator
Rebuilt starter
Two sets of batteries
Shocks
Sway bar bushings and clips
Repaired fuel tank

Only real problems... Rust! Probably lost 50lbs of sheet metal, and there may, or may not be a small hole in the frame.

car's origin: Australia; for fun, and i hope no one minds: the car came with the following info which i have in the Toyota 'Warranty & Service' booklet: it was sold by Southside Toyota in Buranda, QLD, and delivered on the 18th of September of 1992, to a client located in Coorparoo, QLD; the full factory model identification is 'HZJ75RV MRQ', colour/trim codes 045/40, and options are listed simply as '3S'; its last documented service by a Toyota dealership took place on the 17th of April of '96, when it had 70,457 km.

i'm not one to give names to my cars

mods, uh, that'll take forever, i'll try to keep it brief: the engine, gearbox, and transfer case were replaced by the same items, except the replacements had only 80,000km on them; there is extensive powder coating; seats from other cars; storage bins in interior sides and rear doors, as well as overhead consoles front and rear; electric winch in front, Toyota PTO winch out the rear; bumpers, fender protectors, skid plates, rocker protectors, swing-out spare carriers, all custom; water reservoir and two custom fuel tanks, all of stainless; Denco turbo; air/air intercooler; aluminium plate and scoop added to hood; pre-1990 axles; electric diff locks (jesus christ, i own the car and i'm still jealous); mechanical air compressor in engine bay; Webasto coolant heater; rear windows replaced with factory ones with defrost function; and i think i'll stop now, sorry if i bored anyone

it's my only car, so i use it for everything (only gentle wheeling so far)

Will be our DD. Using it to haul a wife, groceries, and parts for my GTR.

This will be the wife's DD mostly. She's deployed at the moment, so I'm looking to throw some better wheels/tires on as well as a nice sounds system. It's a bit lacking on power as well so we may upgrade the turbo too. Any advice you guys have or tips you wanna throw my way would be more than appreciated. This is my first foray into the 4x4 world.

This is really interesting! We just recently learnt how this factory was possibly the only one that received some coaster chassis and IDI 1HZ-T motors that most didn't believe exist, so it seems you have a real unicorn. Would love to see you post a separate thread with a lot of photos and details of the engine etc., that is a real gem you have!
