Hello guys , I'm new in this forum and I wanted to present my Landcruiser . It is a BJ 73 "Made in Portugal", with VM engine 5 cylinder turbo diesel precombustion chamber , which develops a hundred horsepower and about 220 NM torque max .

Taken in 2008 , it was not very well , but over the years has been removed in its entirety and revised.

that's how it appeared , a disaster ! But anyway unstoppable

One day I decided to paint it all, so I disassembled the whole body to restore it

It really was not too rusty , here with us road salt does not exist ( it never snows ... ) It was sanded , plastered , sprayed first with an epoxy primer , later used two-component industrial polyurethane paint for white. The rear body inside was sprayed with anti-noise ( because I deleted the original tar sheets ) also the wheel arches have been treated with the same product .

More photos of the work I've done, I also painted the dashboard , but could not find the same shade of gray - blue mother Toy ... I chose a similar color . The seats and side panels were coated with eco - leather of good quality that you should not mess with the sea water , in the bed I made a plan of plywood with rubber feet ( fit into the ribs of the sheet ) coated by a rubber sheet and then a sheet of pvc

this is my small container for tools, gloves ... 2 speakers are positioned side forward

I placed a small souvenir from Cuba over the box:banana:

I've seen more rust on new Cruisers than my '89 VMJ-73.

Love the seats!!

Yes please , the seats have been dismembered , repainted the frame , fixed some spring and completely covered by an elderly upholsterer , the panels have been redone . Indeed he did a good job ..:)

This is a great little Toy, and it is getting quite the attention! Nice job, pal.
Curiosity: is that an Italian-made engine, the VM? And what size is it please? As well, what gearbox is in it?
Thanks for looking after for another Cruiser.

Around 300,000 km I made a revision to the engine : floor cleaning heads , new valve guides , valve seat grinding , new head gaskets , cleaning circuit cooling , cleaning the oil circuit , new main bearings and connecting rod bearings , piston rings , cylinder liners cleaning
