yeah that is true, if you are doing a lot of accelerating it would wind you down with inertia alone. ultimately i'm a big believer in find what you like and that IS best. nines and sixes certainly have their pros and cons... biggest con to 9 i've found is lack of options... tires, wheels, forks, frames, etc. but it is miles better now than it was 3 years ago when i built mine.
in the scientific sense, i have a an Energy problem, not a Power one...
and back to rory, that is a SWEET bike rack for certain.
since this turned into an mtb thread, any of you have a 29er suspension fork for sale? My shoulder problems have kept me off my rigid niner ss all summer and it sucks. My fs stumpy 26er isn't nearly as fun.
I am sure you know about the MTBR Classifieds, and I have been having some good luck at Pinkbike also.
I'll check out pinkbike. Keeping an eye at mtbr. Mostly, I just don't have the funds right now, so I ride the fsr instead.
pick up a wide rim and a huge volume tire. if you set it up tubeless you can run real low PSI and get a little bit of squish![]()
