Hey All,

Been a while since I have posted here and I come with a question. Some of you know that I bought Daisy's 4Runner a couple months ago. Well this weekend I was fortunate enough to experience my first break in. I had the truck parked at the en Medio village just outside of Santa Fe and came back to find the driver window busted. So I am curious what my best options are. I am in the process of getting the quotes together to see how much this will hurt. Are there any glass places that I should look at specifically?

Thanks for any help!

Welcome back, sorry to hear about your troubles. But seriously, it took you THIS incident to say howdy to us? Just busting your chops!!

Time up update your signature.

Well technically the sig is still accurate... :flipoff2:

Kinda answered my own question. Going with Horizon Auto Glass for the convenience. Price was not as bad as I feared and they are very close to the house.

Have you checked the junk yards yet? OEM glass is just always a notch above

Nice to know that deep down inside Ali's not a cruiser snob...

Welcome back, and time for you to get acquainted with a bunch of 4Runner specific aftermarket suppliers!

I ended up using Horizon.

Molly has been using the truck to haul supplies around so downtime on the truck wasn't really an option. Not OEM so I know Onur will be disgusted. I would recommend them as they were fast and didn't try sneaking in any BS charges.

As far as the aftermarket goodies Steve I will have to wait for the account to recover from my newest bike :D And this is destined to be my next purchase:
North Shore Racks

is that white knolly i saw on the back of your dub as i followed you to otero on tuesday?

wtf it wasn't a niner? :flipoff2:

are you stalking me?

I learned a while ago that niners don't quite keep up with demanding terrain. There are a lot of riders that can use them, but not me.

Agree. 29's are over rated. Didn't like the one I rode.

nope i was just driving home.

well i still love mine, i don't see any reason at this point i'll ever go back to training wheels... time may tell otherwise, i haven't put in the miles you have on one. and luckily everyone is different

as i ponder i wonder if niners are just best for fat lazy kids like myself. rory and jon don't fit that mold...

How can you guys call yourselves offroaders and not think bigger tires are better?

Bigger tires take more torque to turn. That's fine for a V8 engine, but my "engine" doesn't make that kind of power. Shoot, I'm lucky to make 300W for a short burst.

yeah that is true, if you are doing a lot of accelerating it would wind you down with inertia alone. ultimately i'm a big believer in find what you like and that IS best. nines and sixes certainly have their pros and cons... biggest con to 9 i've found is lack of options... tires, wheels, forks, frames, etc. but it is miles better now than it was 3 years ago when i built mine.

in the scientific sense, i have a an Energy problem, not a Power one...

and back to rory, that is a SWEET bike rack for certain.

do I need to scrounge Rory's garage for older MTB parts for my new MTB?

since this turned into an mtb thread, any of you have a 29er suspension fork for sale? My shoulder problems have kept me off my rigid niner ss all summer and it sucks. My fs stumpy 26er isn't nearly as fun.

No 29's here, but I have two old Judy XC collecting dust that might be of any help for your shoulder if you want to try one.
