Hello everyone,

After weeks of searching I still have no answer...

I would like to put around a 32" tire on my stock '62 with stock 15" rims. I am going for a skinny tire look. Maybe 9.5-10" wide I have 31x10.5's on now, but need something a little taller and skinnier. Most searches I have found discuss 16" rim sizes, but not 15" Anyone have any idea what size I am looking for? It doesn't have to be a float tire. The Tirerack.com chart was not helpful. Thanks.

Thanks,

I'll look into the BFG. Are there any Metric options I should consider. From what I have read a 32" will fit with ease and a 33" may be a little tight. I guess this might not be a problem with a narrow tire. I am considering Maxxis because of the discount I can get through a friend (less than $100/each) but don't know the size I should order.

skinny tire

check out the yokohama 700 r15. 8 ply. super skinny and real durable. little loud though. have them on a 89 extra cab. good gravel and really rough road tire. you can also stud them for the winter if you like. the last set i bought was 180 a piece, that's in canuk bucks

Hey,

BFG quit making the 33x9.50/15 M/T a few years ago. They still make it in the A/T.

Here's a handy guide for sizing.

Tire Specs for BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO

I'm running a 33x10.50/15 Super Swamper Radial. They would probably fit with a small shackle lift.

Noooooo!!!! Don't do it:crybaby:

33 9.50's work just fine, even in the rocks and they have way better manners on the road. My BFG AT's are mounted on stock 15" rims. Just don't air down too far (30psi is about as far as I go). I have to run 40psi in the front and 45 in the rear on the road.

BFG is now making KM2's in this size. Try a search on Tirerack.com for the size you are looking for.

Best of luck

I have the 33x9.5 BFG AT on stock wheels with about a 2.5 lift and stock gears, no anti-sway bars. This is the best the cruiser has ever ran. Daily driven 13 miles to work and then back every day and it's power, top speed, handling are perfect for a four speed /FJ60. This is in SoCal where we all drive 70+ and weave in and out of traffic just to fit in. No offroad time with them yet, but if you corner fast the tires make a great howling sound.:D

I run 33x10.5r15 BFG MT and they've never let me down. Great tire. I bought mine from tire rack a year or two ago.

DogMarley - i picked up a spare 33x10.5 bfg at from another member of UC, and i believe he was thinking of selling the other 4 if you decide to go that route. Just PM me and i'll find out if he still wants to sell them.

dogmarley - i have him your info. It might be a few days for him to respond since he is heading up to GSMTR.

I run 33x10.50x15 BFG A/T's that I got from Costco and had a local shop mount them and I run them on original Toyota steel wheels with hub caps. The OEM wheels and caps are still available from your local Toyota dealer.

I love the old school look and

Ditto that. I run them with an OME lift and they ride wonderfully on road and off.

britklr, that is an absolutely gorgeous 60.

Thanks!

Yeah, it's come a long way from an old ranch truck full of sand, dirt and chicken feathers.....That's whats so great about these trucks, you can just keep building them the way you want it.

:-)
