Talked with my CNC sheet metal guy while finalizing another LCP product and its all doable.

The panel will have 3 rolled edges giving similiar thickness as the window to fit the window groove. There will be a rivited piece to the bottom with a channel for the glass to fit in. Overall the height of ~4", could vary a little based on maximizing the amount of louver while mantaining strength. Power coated black to match the finish and texture of the factory window frame.

Now I just need to draw it up

What is the price point for these?

No idea still in the R&D stage. Chances are I will make the investment on a run because like all my other products its something I want:D.....and I hope you'all will also.

CNC shop just told me he can spot weld the lower piece in place verses rivits for a ready to go to PC product. I like idea of rivits for looks, finish, and quality but requires more labor and holes. :(

Just when I thought there was nothing else I needed to upgrade my Cruiser....Howd I do without this?!

I'd use these in California, too. Echoing the black option that most others said.

Put me down for a set.

It's "y'all"

And put me down for a set.

YA ya I question myself when I typed it after the schooling I received previously and KNEW I would be corrected by y'all. I can only paint with the limited colors I have:flush:

Looks like something else I probably need, put me down for a set in the only "cool" Landcruiser color; black with 4 vents. :)

Thanks for your interest:cool:
Once a final production run is made they will be featured on our web site for all

Great idea! Quick question, have you thought about adding screen material to the inside? Would be nice for those who use the truck for sleeping and keeping the little critters out.

Leaving in an area without little critters every a problem never thought about until now, something to consider. :hmm: Another reason to stay with steel....magnetic bug screen option.;)

Thanks for the input

Didn't know about the magnetic screens. Let us know when you come up with a final price, I am interested and thanks!

Didnt know or think about magnetic screens until you needed some:grinpimp:
Customer service;)

Having removable screens is a good idea. Volume of louvers isn't much. Screening material small enough to keep insects out will reduce heat transfer. Having the screen cover the whole area and a gap between the two would help.

Im getting a ton of positive feedback on the vents. Im confindent after the 80 series is out other models will follow. Im off product testing for the next week and will move production forward on my return.

@LandCruiserPhil Did these ever happen? I have a need for these guys today, want to leave the windows cracked but keep the critters out. If this didn't come to fruition, anyone know of another option?
