dead thread revival!!!!!!:bounce::bounce2:

Sorry to bring this back to life

Trying to get my antenna to trigger. Any chance some one has a pic of this violet wire?
I have a 97 Lx450 amp bypass, every thing works but the antenna.

My blue (antenna) wire in my HU harness has the loop back ( pin 8/9) if iam right The plug i clips into on the stock harness does not have any wires in the same place.

What plug is the violet wire in on the stock harness?

You might want to start a new thread with LX450 in the Subject line. IIRC, the LX may be a bit different here than the 80 series HUs.

I will Do tomorrow after work.

Just want to add i got it sorted. it is the violet wire in the harness that was plugged into the stock HU that you don't use when you bypass the amp. I will add some pics tomorrow.

I took some pictures of my harness, maybe someone can help me identify the power antenna wire on one of the those harnesses.
Can't find any violet wires. The only two violet wires I see, are those coming out of the back of the HU.
One of the three harnesses is not connected to anything. I suspect that's the one I need to pay attention to.

Hey and for future reference in many automotive electrical wiring diagrams Violet is actually blue lol. They run because Bl is black and B is black or brown in BR isn't used. So manufacturers will mark a wire V/R for violet with a red stripe...you will 9 times out of 10 be looking for a dark blue wire with a red stripe. I had to learn this myself after doing a motor removal for a motor swap from an Infiniti q45 into a Nissan Pathfinder. Got 60lbs of auxiliary systems wire out of the wiring harness needed to run the engine had to find, tag, chase and individually clip out each wire lol lots of work. Hope my hard learned findings will help.

I have no idea because the new stereo was installed by someone else before I got the car.
By the look of those crimped wires I guess it is the factory harness.

I got it!!!!! :bounce:

I just connected the blue wire out of the HU to one of the pins on the upper right corner of the connecter. It works!!!!!
Great info here and reviving a thread!

I plan to head back in there today and finally get this automatic antenna functioning again. It currently can't even be controlled manually and driving me a bit nuts. Can anyone confirm if this is the same pin I should be connecting the head unit antenna wire to for a late 97 40th AE- I am assuming so?

TIA!
