doubtful it's very good stuff compared to a Honda IMO.
But, eh, it saves the day once on a blackout and it's already earned its keep... :)

I wouldn't ever but this and think of using it in a blackout. BUt for camping it might be a good little unit. + it has a 12v outlet for charging batteries.

I believe Pep boys sells a similar version for about the same price. Nice cheap insurance to keep the lights on during a blackout.

69 db is pretty loud for a small generator...but it's not horrible.

for $99 it's probably worth taking on a few trips for recharging. it's tough to argue the price...

2 stroke engine. Probably has to be cranked out to make 1000 watts. Like listening to a chainsaw or weedwacker.

I bet you'd be popular at a campsite with that.

Save the money. But a cheap fourstroke one. Or build a sound proof box for that baby. 69 decibles at night in the woods is like 150 decibles in the city...LOL

I think someone should buy it and tell us what they think.
How about this, why don't 13 of us pitch in $10 and have someone try it. I say $13 x 10 to cover shipping. .
Regardless if it works or not, that person can keep it. I'd buy generator insurance for $13.

Regards

Alvaro

Interesting math you have there Alvaro...

I'll volunteer to get it, please send all your cash to me:D

I've got a northern next to me. I'll go tomorrow and get one. I'll let ya'll know. I can always take it back if it turns out to be a piece of crap.

"Generator sales are final" :whoops:

Why am I the only one seeing the price as $199.00 eh?

I thought about that. Did some reading on the manufacturers site. They state 65 dbls. That 6 more than a honda. Worth a shot.

6db = 2^2 = 4X the sound of a Honda. I thought the noise level might be okay for emergencies like a blackout. I guess the neighbors wouldn't mind the noise since they don't have any power  At a campsite at night, the noise level will be unbearable.

Since it's a two stroker, I don't think they sell it Cali and other emission controlled states.

I run a 13hp 4 storker Gen for the house. That thing is loud. Really loud. But then again my neighbors don't mind. They are always bringing me thing to put in the fridge and freezer during a power outage.

Didn't have it in stock.. I also had to take a copy of the online price to show them. Then the sold one to me for 99 and I saved shipping. They will call when it gets in. I'll report back once I get it.

Not Bad

I bought one a couple years ago for $150.00. It's not that durable but it is quiet, if you are real easy on stuff and can stow it securly while on the go it is well worth the dough HO HO HO !!!!
