Hi All,

Another question for the experienced mechanics out there...

What difference would you expect to see when doing a compression check on a "cold" engine versus an engine that has been warmed up?

Higher or lower values?

I did a compression check on my 2F engine during a recent tune and registered average values of about 155 across all the cylinders. This was done on a room temperature engine.

Any thoughts? :-/ :-/

Sounds like you're good on all 6. Normally I take out all the sparkplugs, prop the throttle open, choke open and give it a spin. I'd think the readings would only go up when things are warm. Even if the readings were numerically lower, be happy they're all close to the same.

my theory,if they are all within 5 pounds of each other compression is not the prob, start looking for others but if that is what it is let me know Ill remember that
