Hello
I'm from europe and I own a HDJ 80 24s diesel.
After an Intercooler, I would like to change the ratio of the Fifth gear by a longer one.
For example, now 3000tr/mn is about 140km/h on the dash et whynot 2500tr/mn at the same speed, in Fifth gear.
Does a kit exist?
Do I make a specific gear ratio? and How? :bang:

a soft to calculate gear ratio

Thanks for help and excuse my english

Someone has discussed it on an aussie forum, I think it can be done but you need to swap out many parts - not just change one gear.

I have heard that you pan put a Tacoma 6 speed gearbox behind the 1HD-T and you get a nice highway gear.

the H151F is .88 so i highly doubt the gear change for O/D is worth the money and time.

having a better selection of gearing might be though.

a larger tire might work better in the long run...

I'm not sure about the Taco numbers, I got that info from a mutual friend of ours with a new HDJ81 and a house in your old hood. He is usually right about those things.

Craig.
