I tried the search bar and couldn't find anything. Anyone know of a A pillar gauge pod that fits a kzj78 perfectly? I bought a SAAS "70 series" pod and I probably could make it work but still wouldn't look great as far as fitment. Any help is appreciated thanks in advancešŸ¤™šŸ½

I bought mine (2 gauge) on e-bay Aus, They also have 1 and 3 gauge pillar pods

Oh cr@p - I had brain fade - we are RHD you will need LHD (doh)

No I am rhd as well, the gauge pod I bought is from SAAS in Australia ass well. I can make it work but was looking for something that was a exact fit

Not sure if its a better fit but Perth Diesel Performance in OZ also has pods.

This is another brand i saw at a 4X4 show here in Oz. Product looked good, but wasn't fitted.

I had this one in my LJ78:

Funny you mention the SAAS one not fitting that well - I just ordered one from NZ! I specifically wanted an SAAS one this time as I'd like to try and mount a third pod onto the assembly. Hopefully I won't mind trimming it since I'll be modifying it anyway, but thanks for the heads up!

Please let us know how the 3rd pod addition goes. I'd like to get a 3 pod mount as well.

i used one one of these

I was originally going to gut a oem inclinometer but they are pricey and id be bastardizing a perfectly good part

It is full length from bottom to top and is held in place by the 2 screws of the geezuz handle on the RHS pillar

Made some progress with the SAAS gauge pod. Still need to trim some more to get the gauges to face me and not the window, but I have most of the setup complete.

Physically, there is room on the pillar to add an extra 52mm pod. I ordered the universal one made by GlowShift from Amazon and it works well-I added a 3d-printed wedge to try and match the angles of the SAAS pod. I may need to revisit this design or possibly just glue the 3rd pod into place to prevent movement from vibration over time.

The grab handle still mounts as it normally would, but it is close to the additional gauge.

I have a few adjustments to make and hopefully I can call this project a success by tomorrow!

Wrapped up the pod install today. Plenty of trimming on 3 of the 4 sides of the pod was necessary, and I still couldn’t get the angle of the SAAS pods to completely face me after all of it.

Can any SAAS pod owners confirm the angle is indeed facing passers by on the sidewalk as opposed to facing the driver?

I got the install buttoned up as clean as I could. I’m happy with the result considering the SAAS part has subpar fitment.

To anyone else looking to modify a double gauge pod to mount an additional third pod: a dremel with round sanding bits and some patience is your friend!

how come your pyro is totally pegged

It's so infuriating that 3 gages could fit easily, yet SAAS has yet to make a 3 gage pillar pod. I would buy one immediately. Instead we are stuck with the 2 pod mount...

In any case, I have the same pillar pod as you. Mine sits perfectly and points right at my face.

I think I know what is going on with yours. The front leading edge that runs along the windshield molding. It needs to be trimmed back and cut down the entire length to fit right and tuck almost under the windshield molding. Like this (forgive the nasty closeup). As you tuck the plastic edge under the weatherstripping, the pods will the start cocking leftward.

I hope this helps.
