Fuel Gauge Empty and Empty Fuel lamp always on

Hey,

I have a 2014 HZJ76 and the fuel gauge always reads empty as well as the empty fuel light is always on.
I tried switching out the sending unit in the fuel tank with no change at all.

My plan is to check if there is a bad ground connected to the sender unit.

Everything else works perfectly fine, all instruments and all parts of the car.

Any other tips?

Grounds, broken wires

Thank you @coldtaco . I looked at it tonight and it was a broken wire further down.
