First of all this is my first my first post as a silver star. :flipoff2:...
I need some help on gas tank location. I hav'nt figued how 2 post pics yet. So I"ll try 2 give as much detail as possible. The PPO. had decided to move the gas tank to the rear. and also pushed the filler to the left rear of the tub. I'd like an opinion, should I leave it, or try 2 move it back 2 stock?

What year are u talking about
when u say left are u refering to passenger side and rear meaning after the tire or before the tire.
If you are going for stock original yes move it , if not leave it were it is less problems and more cash in pocket for a lift or bigger tires,or a ARB buper and winch.

I can't figure which tank the PO moved to the rear, or how it's filler would be on the left side of the vehicle, unless turned around?? I think the OE tank would be too frail to mount under the vehicle?? I don't know of any aftermarket tank (past or present) that filled from the left side of the vehicle. Are you determining the left side of the vehicle from the drivers seat facing forward, or from standing in front of the vehicle facing the rear of the vehicle??

Downey-
To clarify the tank filler is located behind the driverside rear wheel. the tank is some sort of metal tank. From looking at the rest of the mods done, the tank in the has been like this since the early 80's. If that makes any difference They spot welded a plate over the area where the original fiiler was mounted.

Not sure how big the tank is it fits between the frame rails and sits about 4" below the lowest part of the frame. This cruiser is just going to replace my heep for camping and running the local trails once I finnish the brakes and new radiator.
