Thanks. I'm not really a fan of the suction on the windshield bc then I can't throw up my sun shade when parked.

The suction mount comes off in about 2 seconds- super easy; unless you plan to keep your tread in the vehicle all the time or just on wheeling outings?

All the time, but removing the actual unit when parked. I really don't like the LX nav. It's taken me to the wrong location a handful of times over the last 4 years, and I hate that you can't use it while moving. I would like to find a better mount to hardwire it to the battery instead of using the 9v socket.

I've got balls mounted in all my vehicles and two of the mag mounts. In my 40 it is mounted above the rear view mirror and hardwired. The other mount bounces between the pickup and the 80. I've thought about buying a 3rd, but I don't use it in the pickup enough to justify it.

I don't like the suction cup mount much either.
